Well I have the maximum edition and it has it like you said. Yes it is the multiplayer standalone. It have 21 maps. I don't believe you can get it by itself. If you didn't already have crysis warhead you probably should have gotten the maximum edition. I my self am just playing warhead cause I just beat crysis. Great game :D. Anyway, ya I believe it only comes with the max edition. If you don't have Crysis and you just have Crysis Warhead I would recommend that you get the Max Edition because 1st you get Crysis Wars and 2nd you will get Crysis which was really good.
