Crysis problems, won't run now, even after patches and up dates, what did you do to fix it?

Computer is as follows:

P5QL pro Asus mother board, intel 8400 core duo 3.0 ghz, 4g 1066mhz ddr2 ram, xfx geforce 9800 gt graphics card, 550w cooler master power supply, western digital 500g HD, 1T HD. The case is very well cooled with 4 80mm and 2 120mm fans blowing while 3 120mm are sucking out.

I can overclock the cpu to around 3.5 ghz and keep it stable, I usually keep it in this state, but I have tried it in normal mode and get the same outcome.

When I installed the game everything worked fine but then it started freezing up and gave the error about the driver had failed then recovered but the game never recovered and i have to restart the game to get it going. I played for about four days until it locked up one day and even after restarting and installing and reinstalling the game will not play, keep getting the same error. Again I have downloaded all patches and all driver updates.

Did you download any new drivers recently? What OS are you playing this on?

I would try a system restore - restore it to the date that it worked on. Also try rolling back your drivers if you recently had it updated.

Lastly, if you're running Windows 7 BETA, go back to Vista or XP. Windows 7 is fantastic, but it's still a BETA and it can give you problems.
